Hokkaido butter and cheese transformed into exquisite sweets! First store opening at New Chitose Airport on July 20, 2025 (Sunday).

Ferme La Terre Biei, a bakery specializing in butter and cheese, has opened a new store at New Chitose Airport. You can now easily purchase their popular sweets at the airport, including store-exclusive treats and limited availability of popular items from their flagship store.

Even if you didn't make it to Asahikawa this time, or if you prefer to buy souvenirs at the airport, please be sure to try the special flavors of Biei!

This butter cheese sandwich combines Jersey milk from Biei and Camembert cheese with a rich butter and cheese cream made with plenty of flavorful Hokkaido butter. The base cream is made with Hokkaido butter, which is lightly aired to create a light texture. Adding Hokkaido Camembert and mascarpone cheese enhances the flavor, resulting in a smoother and more flavorful taste.

These cookies are made with wheat from Biei, Hokkaido. They feature a simple flavor that highlights the deliciousness of the wheat. When you break the cookie, a creamy white chocolate shell oozes out, revealing a rich cheese sauce. The crispy cookie and the gooey cheese sauce combine to create a delightful taste sensation in your mouth.

The cheese fondue cake, a huge hit at our Biei main store, comes in original packaging exclusive to New Chitose Airport, inspired by the gentle flavor of cheese.

The cream inside is envisioned to be as smooth and creamy as cheese fondue sauce, and we were particular about preserving as much of its fresh texture as possible. We insisted on using only Hokkaido-produced mascarpone, fresh cream, and condensed milk for a milky and rich flavor. The fluffy and moist cake base is made with Hokkaido-produced cream cheese and baked in an extremely simple way. This is a baked cheesecake that retains just the right amount of fluffiness.

~A quick bite of Hokkaido's bounty~

These crispy, crumbly shortbread cookies are baked using the natural flavors of Hokkaido ingredients. The set includes two varieties: "Butter Shortbread" with a rich, gentle sweetness, and "Cheese Shortbread" with a mellow cheese flavor. The shortbread is baked using an original flour made from Hokkaido Biei wheat, resulting in a comforting, nostalgic taste.

Birch Financier

The white birch tree is designated as the town tree of Biei. We have created a financier inspired by the white birch trees that spread throughout Biei. The batter is made with "white birch sap" from Bifuka town.

This simple yet delightful treat can be enjoyed by children and adults alike, made with a mystical tree sap packed with nutrients—sometimes called the "nurse of the forest" in Scandinavia—and baked to perfection with Hokkaido butter and eggs.

This soufflé sandwich features a cheese cream made with mascarpone cheese from Hokkaido, sandwiched between fluffy and moist dough that also contains mascarpone cheese, resulting in a delicate flavor that melts in your mouth the moment you take a bite.

We created these treats in two flavors—a creamy plain and a subtly sweet and tart haskap jam—so that everyone, from children to adults, can enjoy them.

Biei Polvoron Cookies

Polvorón is a traditional confection from the Andalusia region of Spain. The name is said to mean "crumbly" or "fragile." True to its name, a new souvenir, exclusive to New Chitose Airport, has been created with a texture that crumbles like freshly fallen snow.
We've combined our original blend of Biei wheat flour, used at Ferme La Terre Biei, with Hokkaido-grown wheat flour. Furthermore, we've added Hokkaido butter and fragrant almond powder to create a richly flavored baked product.

Cheese Baumkuchen

A luxurious Baumkuchen made with three types of cheese—cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and blue cheese—and ingredients from Hokkaido.

The light and melt-in-your-mouth Baumkuchen is made with generous amounts of flour, cream cheese, and butter grown in the rich soil of Hokkaido, and is simply baked by hand to a moist and fluffy texture.

After numerous trials and refinements, the blend, carefully crafted to bring out the depth of flavor, consists of cheddar and blue cheeses. To maximize the rich flavor of the three cheeses, it is baked slowly at a low temperature, resulting in a rich and flavorful taste that allows you to fully enjoy the intense cheese aroma. From dough preparation to baking, this is a meticulously crafted product made by artisans who use all their senses to monitor the dough's condition.
